A cog in the college admissions scandal speaks out

(Chicago Tribune) As California Route 92 cuts west through the Santa Cruz Mountains that separate Silicon Valley from Half Moon Bay, it takes little more than 10 miles to be transported from the bustling tech hub to a sleepy coastal hamlet where the summers are foggy, the surf is rugged and honey, artichokes, snap peas and cherries are sold by the side of the road.
